Just so it's clear, it won't actually be the last day of production when we go there.

That said, good times last year and will be going there (and to the track) this year.

Whales everywhere, a handful of aeros, and 3 boxes representing last year. (Me, johnunit, GM Guy). This year should be a better turn out.

haha yeah we were our own little box club last year...

But it sounds like there are at least 5 more boxes coming next year.

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but the festivities are taking place Friday, June 17th. Ford allowed 40 spots, which filled up almost instantly. They gave us 20 more, and those filled up instantly too.

So the tour is "full", but Zach can tell you that chances are good, you can probably just walk right in and go on the tour if you choose.

Even still, the meet is fun. I enjoyed hanging out in the parking lot and going to the dragstrip (and getting drunk in the hotel that night) more than the tour itself.

I was going to mention this as it got a little closer, but as you can see a_d_a_m pretty much summed it up. I of course will be there fosho, but I don't know in what car yet.

I should also mention, if you live in the US, don't have a passport, and are thinking of attending...file for your passport soon (i.e. NOW)!

You need one to cross the border.

I had a great time last year. This should be a BIG meet, and it would have been/will be fun even without the plant tour. You can still see cars lined up to be delivered and get a sense of just how huge the plant is. You can also get a picture of your car on the podium type thing beside the big sign at the entrance to the plant. I thought that was almost worth the trip itself.

There will also be drag racing afterwards and all sorts of informal little side events.

Oh and just to be clear you do not need to register or pay any money to show up to the meet itself. You just show up to the parking lot at the assembly plant closest to the highway and do whatever.
