My uncle wants me to fix his 96 town car. The problem is the headlights arnt working. The daytime running lights work, flash-to-pass works, marker lights work, tail lights work. But no headlights or high beams. I put a new headlight switch in and checked fuses, but still the same... Any ideas?

but the DRLs work with the regular head lights since, they opperate on the highbeam with lower voltage. do the DRLs go out when you switch the headlights on?

yea, when you apply the parking brake, they should go out, so you can just use the parking lights. so, my money is going towards the DRL module. DRLs are gay anyways lol

You can bypass that module if you don't want to replace it.

Hi Grand_Marquis_LSS
The DRLs receive an input from the lo beams could be thats why they are not going out when you switch the headlights on.
Assuming the fuses (and circuit breaker) are okay (you said you checked them) with the headlights switched on check there is power on the grey wire from the LCM )Lighting Control Module) to the MFS (Multi-Function Switch), I would check it at the LCM first located above and to the right of the drivers feet, if you have power check it at the MFS, if you do not have power you need to check the main light switch outputs to the LCM, let me know how you get on.
