    15" CV Police Wheel Covers

I'm looking for 15" OEM Crown Vic Police-style (although some civilian models were also equipped with them) wheel covers in good condition.

    Thanks.

the dog dish or the full size hubcaps?

I was originally thinking of the full size, but I might be interested in the dog dish, depending on condition and price. Thanks.

A nice alternative (and probably cheaper) is to get Explorer/P71 centercaps and lugnuts. They actually look pretty good on 15" wheels. I reinstall mine when running my 15" winter wheels to keep the nuts and hubs from getting all salted up and gross.

            Sure thing!

I'd check eBay or car-part.com, or possibly a local 'yard. I'd imagine those caps would be plentiful right now, provided not all of the ClunkerBombed Explorers have been crushed already .... oh, and plastic doesn't dent.

"Parts guy"? The counter guy at AutoZone will look at you really weird and direct you to the "Rally" brand chrome garbage. Do you have a reliable salvage yard in your area? If so, that might be your best bet, unless maybe they're still available from your Ford dealer.

To my knowledge, these caps (and matching shouldered lugnuts) came on '98-'02(ish?) P71s, and some Explorers (dunno the year), though I've also seen some on Rangers.

Not sure what you mean by "different size", as they've got to be 1/2-20 or you have problems. I have one set of shouldered nuts with 13/16" hex, and another with 3/4" hex. No idea why.

I have the full wheel covers, also a set of tall caps and lug nuts.
