For those of us tenting it (or sleeping in the car) what's the game plan for showers/crappers?

There are 2 showers and 2 crappers. Access priority is by a random and complex system involving divination of tea leaves and astrological signs.

so a port-a-loo for the midnight run might be a good idea.

I go in the woods because I am scared to death walking in the dark from the camp grounds to the house.

Flashlight!

The flashlight just makes it even creepier for me because then I think I see stuff while walking down the the campground and around the big pond then up the little hill to the front of the house. I am used to houses stacked on top of house. Big open land I am not accustomed to.

heh... I see. I think I'll bring a mini-bog for myself and the wife for those middle of the night occasions... clean it out when light comes again.
oo... another question... is there any electricity available to the tenters? or is it BYOBattery.

PFT pussy :p
Slymer, you're free to use the house electric if you need it. Showers and crappers are fair game. If no one's in there, it's yours lol.

mainly just for phone charging... I was wondering about in-tent... so I guess that's a no on the in-tent. Since I'll probably be using my phone to wake my ass up in the morning... I'll probably charge it every chance I get (in-car, in-house, etc).

This year I'm going to hide in the woods near David's tent, and scare the shit out of him... :nana:
I will probably be sleeping in the truck, like I did last year. Damn pissed I sold that tonneau cover.

I bring butt wipes for the butt... sticky craps need more than TP!
I have extension cords too... and power bars... and a POS old tripplite UPS that still works (and isn't in use). Can bring.

Sarah and I slept in a tent the first night, and in the car the second one. I hated the way the tent felt in the morning, the walls covered in dew. Although, we really should've gotten a tent big enough for an airbed to not touch the walls...the car was much more comfortable the next night. If I/we can come this year, probably just sleep in the car from the get-go.
We charged everything in the car. Two phones, iPods, et cetera. I don't think I used the laptop long enough to need to charge it.
Guys don't need to shower everyday. That's more of a woman thing. :)

the only reason I shower every morning is to at least wash my hair... otherwise I look like I have bed head from the movie Grease. (my head is that oily)
although... it might make a good weapon... if someone's annoying me... just rub my hair jam on them.
so did y'all sleep in the front seats reclined or one in front and one in back bench style?

Front seats reclined. A blanket or two. Slept a lot better that way than in the tent on a half-inflated air bed.

My mop gets greasy too... especially if I wear a hat. Plus my hair is thinning so it makes it look extra worse... and I have to wear a hat to avoid dome sunburn... I think last year the hat just stayed on, lol.

ah yes, the thinning mop. I had my hairs cut today, and every time I have it done, i swear my forehead gets bigger.
