      2 days to get from AL to PA? With a VW diesel. That's a single tank non stop drive.

        Last month I drove from Lodi NJ to Cape Canaveral in 16 hours with a tractor trailer.....that is with fueling up every couple hundred miles......so we stay under the weight limits.

          I think we made that trip in 16 hours? The trip down at least. the return trip was somewhat longer with that detour through Georgia. Its doable in 1 day solo driving but breaking it into 2 is far more relaxing. Do the 16 hour drive, then you sleep for a day so it still ends up taking 2.

            I did it in 17 hrs, 1000+ miles. Avg 45 mpg

            I did a hair over 600 miles on a tank of B20 biodiesel!
