Thanks, I wasn't crazy about the color when I first saw it. It has grown on me. Winter is coming, I'll wait and have it detailed in the Spring.

It was totaled out by my insurance company from a "hit and run" accident in January. The passenger side quarter panel got nailed by a teen in his mother's Camry doing about 20 mph. It took me about seven months of searching to find this GM. Every box I found was either a complete piece of shit or the owner wanted a million dollars for it. I lucked out on this one. The owner got it from her grandfather and already had a newer car. $550 and it was mine. The paint needs to be touched up in a few places and the whole car buffed out.

Baseline dyno numbers below. The numbers will be better when I go back.

The final run was 123 rwhp and 239 rwtq. It's chopped off in the pic, sorry.

Not too shabby at all. The torque is decent and the horsepower, after factoring drivetrain loss, is right where it should be.

I want more power! I might even start looking into doing a stroker 331 or 342 motor or something. They saved the pulls on the hard drive and when I go back, they'll compare the new numbers to the baseline numbers. They can even lay the graphs over each other.

Here's an old engine pic. I don't know if the inlet tube and air filter add any hp, but "I feel" it looks better than stock.

Get another tube exactly like that, and make it go down to the fenderwell almost...

I'm going to have one custom made for the car. I'm thinking a longer 4" pipe (ABS plastic or steel) and a heatshield for the air filter.

I just put an X-Pipe on the car. The pics will come soon. I think I'm the first guy with an X-Pipe on a box.
