Interesting wagon trivia, if nothing else ....

I always wondered how a sales guy in 1997 had the idea that wagon second-row seats were mounted further forward than on sedans. Now I think I have the answer to that mystery!

I attached the relevant pictures for easy reference. My only question is, why'd they stop making them like this? First I'd seen this arrangement in person was in a '12 Kia Sorrento!!!!
