'Miles to empty' fuel gauge problem.

    'Miles to empty' fuel gauge problem.

    Yay.

    03 MGM, digital dash.

    Problem: Once it hits about 20 miles left it does a rapid fire countdown to 0. When I add more fuel the 20 miles do show back up.

    Any ideas?

    I think that is normal. My last two cars once they hit below 30 you get just a few dashes. I think it is to help you NOT run out of gas.

      Thats been a "feature" for the DTE for a long long time. The Mark VII goes from 50 miles to 0 miles in about 15 actual miles of driving.

        It just started happening, and on my 97 (same dash), never did. I'll keep an eye on it. I'm more concerned with upward creep than anything else.
