at the very least, 265 or 275 should be ok on the rear. 255 on the front. Assuming stock overall height. Any wider than 275 on the rear is just wasting money and gas anyway unless you've got something serious under the hood.

160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc

255/60/15 is a good all round size, you will be happy with that size.

Need to know the width of the wheels you picked up to give you any idea of exactly how wide you can go safely.

                Dont forget wheel spacers.
It also depends on what year mustang wheels you bought.
You can easily go 245/255 front and 275 rear no problems.
Hell, I'm going 295/305 in the Marauder.
I just bought a set of Mustang wheels for the Tank, and I needed a 1" spacer all around. But you can go for a 1.25 spacer in the rear to fill out the wheelwells more.
