    Just picked up an 09

This is the third GM i've owned (first being a 91 colony park which a drunk driver took out for me, second being an 89 sedan). Obviously the 09 is a markedly nicer car . I was wondering if there was anything I should know, quirks, upgrades, problems that I should be looking for? Car has 16,000 miles on it.

I can not answer your question but congratulations. What model?

It is really tempting to get one of the last ones as they are not makeing any more. But Then what car would I sell?

typical upgrades are intake and dual exhaust... same with any panther. There's a marked increase in aftermarket availability with the whales though.

LS with Ultimate Edition badging on it, so whatever that means. I'm not sure by 09 they even had the GS for retail anymore or what makes this one so Ultimate. Its got heated seats (much harder to find than I thought they'd be), rear window antenna, air ride. Not really sure what, if any options, were available at that time.

Nice! I think the only issues are LCM, fan resistor? Minor.

From what I've learned, by no means official or even accurate, options on Ultimate were 6 cd changer, moonroof, heated seats, memory seats, performance and handling package, side air bags, possibly air suspension. Once again YMMV.

              Super car. Congrats

My buddy just bought a '10 Ultimate, and it's a nice car!
Like Slymer said, intake, exhaust, under drive pullies, maybe tune, and J-mod, or torque converter. Gears too. Then enjoy.

I didn't do the pullies or the gears essentially because of each other. RPMs are really low with 2.73s, so the pullies looked like they might be problematic to me. If I had 3.55s- different story. I can say the duals and JLT intake really woke the old girl up for me though. 2.25" magnaflows and an H-pipe....excellence!
