    Anyone have any idea what would cause an AOD to not beable to move the car when placed in any gear yet when put back into park grind like it rolling. then when placed into park can still be rolled as if it was in neutral. When you place it into drive or reverse you can feel a very slight bump but then it'll just rev and not move at all. trans fluid looks fine and smells fine. he said he just when to take off from a stop and it just didn't do anything. This is my old car and I only looked at it quickly roadside before I towed it back to his place and left it. I ask because as of right now I plan on buying it back to save it from being turned into scrap.

    You mean you get a clicking sound, when placed into park on a hill? Maybe your shifter alignment is out. Could be a shift linkage bushing is shot.

        My car did this and came out of park in a hill and hit a tree.

        My shift alignment was out from putting a SEFI TV lever on.
        1985 LTD Crown Victoria - Currently restoring after she caught fire! CFI to SEFI to Carb swap, all custom wiring, Duraspark 2 ignition, Motorcraft 2100 Carb, slicktop, Shorty headers dumped before rear axle, 140 Speedo, 3G alt, And currently building an engine for her.
