Belt problems. 2000 grand marq please help

Hi, Im having a problem with a belt slipping in puddles and a constant slight squeak. Changed tensioner and replaced with oem merc belt. still squeak. Can the harmonic balancer Slip on its bushing?

Well, it's good that you replaced the tensioner and the belt. But it sound like you have a bad bearing in one of the pullies. The easiest way to find out which one is bad is to take off the belt and spin each pulley by hand to see which one makes noise.
Then replace whatever pulley it is.

Thanks for the quick response. I checked the pulleys pretty well, everything spins freely. Would that make me loose power steering in a puddle? I can also see the tensioner slightly move a bit when engine running.

Pulleys spin freely. Slight squeak with a/c on. Loose power steering when wet. Thanks

a weak tensioner spring might do this.
