Guess its not the thermal blower lockout switch

Ok I assumed that when in the floor position my '86 GM with ACC and no blower my TBLS was shot.........well I do not think its the switch........because when I take the slide control and move it just past the floor position ........the blower comes on in the floor position...........so how about that as Mel Allen used to say!

Was fortunate in finding an OEM blower motor and gasket at Green Sales.............last pieces in stock those guys come through in better than 90%...........NOS Ford parts in Texas is another go to place.

That's "mix" which is floor and defrost. That will still work even if the TBL is shot.

The only thing the TBL affects is "floor" mode. Nothing else goes through it.

easy way to test it... pull the electrical connection on the TBLS and jumper it and try floor. If the blower comes on... there's your answer.

Don't know why you changed the blower motor if it didn't blow on floor. If it works on one position it will work in all positions.

                Vic,
The motor was giving me fits.........start stop, slow, burning smell.............the floor thing was another issue. It's a pleasure to have a motor that puts out!

Ah ok. Didn't know about the other issues. It's nice when things work.
