    my bikes 79 KZ1000, 82 GL500

Hey all, so since Scott posted up his new bike, I figured I'd post up some pictures of mine.

First up is my '79 KZ1000ST. I got it with 944 miles on it, it currently has around 2500. I changed a few minor things on it since i got it. Seat, handlebars and mirrors, lowered it an inch front and back. Otherwise it's stock, and is decently quick, a 12 second bike, but has nothing on the modern sports bikes.

My second bike is an 82 honda GL500i Silverwing. I've done a lot to this bike, and I'm sure in the future a lot more will be done. Here are some before and after pictures. There is just too much to list, it's a fun bike. Plus at 55MPG I can't complain

I love the kawasaki! There's something badass about the 4 chromed pipes all lined up from early 4-pots.

I remember when the KZ came out, IIRC it was the fasted, bar none, in it's day. I had a CB750K1 at the time.

            Copy cat.

Seriously though, if you hadn't told me about your cousin's bike for sale, I probably wouldn't have started searching for a bike so quickly. So I blame you.

I definitely like how the Honda has turned out so far. Never was one for the big fairings on the front.

              Dereck- I see the resemblance!

Thank you all for the compliments, I've been told by many how feared the KZ1000 was back in it's day, however it is VERY tall and WIDE, so even with the shaved seat and lowering i find it hard to go flatfoot (I'm 5' 9"). For that reason i may be selling it soon, not to mention it weighs 600 pounds o.O. Also I only average 30-35MPG on it..compared to 45-60 on the honda.

Scott- I'm glad you found one, I remember at scottfest you were talking about getting one...i didn't know you would act so quickly!

he's been talking about it for some time now. Now that he's got a house of his own... time to get some toys I take it.
