Nice car! If she is solid, that makes things a lot easier.

1981 Mercury Marquis Brougham 2-Door 302/ 5-speed -special blend (GMGT)
1987 Lincoln Mark VII 5-speed (Errand runner)
1989 Mercury Grand Marquis (Base Runner)
2007 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited (Hustlyn)
2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (Down with O.P.P)

Depends on what you mean by solid? The car was Z-barted when new so no major cancer, but the door bottoms have issues, and the side door strips were the worst thing ever put on the car, rust formed behind the rubber strips and both doors will have to be sanded and patched.
She has 87K so I am looking forward to many more miles

I'd love to do an '88 conversion on one of those old Tudors. That would be badass...though I'm pretty sure another GMN member already did that a few years ago.
Summer car-> 1988 Lincoln Town Car, triple blue, 335,xxx km. New HO 5.0 in and running. Bought 2006/08/22. June 2017 PotM!

Was always curious how this would look... Also thought how it would look to use '89 TC parts to turn a 2-door Mark VI into a "Town Coupe"

Aero box conversions have been done, on 2door panthers before. They are an acquired taste lol. I have a pic somewhere of a black town coupe, wearing an '88 front and rear clip.

What do you mean by an '88 conversion?

Put the front and rear header panels/taillights from a 88-91 box onto a 79-87 Tudor. Personally, I like the look of the Mercury 88-91 grille and taillights better than the older, even more square looking stuff. Now IMHO the 79-87 Fords looked better than the 88-91's. I think an '88 "looking" Tudor would be pretty sweet.
