    '92 Grand Marquis Early Production?

All - today I stumbled across a '92 Grand Marquis and the door jam sticker showed date of manufacture 3-91. I know this was the first year of the Aero body; isn't that way early to produce the cars? Guess they hit the dealers early too?

nope... that's about right for one of the first 92s. It should also have a "bastard block" 4.6L using the SBF bolt pattern with an AOD instead of an AODE.

They usually start production early and try to move them into the showrooms by end of summer, early fall.

'91 was a short year because Ford wanted to get the new '92s out asap.
