26"? So, stock is 27" tall
I'm looking at 315 or 335 35/17's. in V700's or MX's. Gotta get some 10.5" wide bullitts for those though. Might just get 285/40's for the current 9.5" ones. Need to find out if the 10.5" mustang wheels fit. I'd like to run those all the way around.

You can't run more than 4.25" backspacing.
I fit Mustang wheels (5.72" BS) to my CV and they didn't touch the upper control arms- they were stuck on them. I had to use 1.5" spacers and still barely had room to clear. I'd say run the 10s on the back, but go with 8s on the front. You can fit 5.5" BS in the rear, but the upper control arms bring teh suck up front.2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.

I'd recommend a 5" backspacing for the rears- it'll give you a solid direct-center WMS (wheel mounting surface), resulting in the best potential weight distribution across the contact patch.2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.

id go with 17's upfront if tires were cheaper.
apparently the only black steel wheels i like (The Crager Soft 8 Series 397) dont come in a 15x10 with 5 on 4.25 and 5" of backspace. only 4" of backspace. And the only 16x8 has 5.25 of backspace. i can get a 16 X7 with 4 in of back space, but doing that id be better off just buying 2 98+ steelies. I can get 15s that fit in 8" but the performance tire selection for a 15" rim sucks.
my only other choice is to wait and see if my friend can get a set of the series 397s custom made. but that probalby wont be cheap.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx

alright i can get adapters to run 5 on 5 wheels up front, and then i can run 5 on 4.5 on the rear. the 2 adapters are $40 each and the wheels are $50 and rear wheels are $40 each so a total of $260 to run the wheels i want in the size i want.
this will give me 4" backspace front and rear, I would prefer 5" in the rear but i can't get the wheels for that. Running less backspace will put more stress on the bearings, but will also put more weight to the tires.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx

Sounds like you've got it figured out.
Aren't those Cragar's truck wheels? Get some pictures- I'm curious to see how they look!2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.

Those look just like American Racing rock crawler wheels.
Do they hold up okay? I like 'em... especially at that price!
I wonder how they'd look on my wagon...2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
