    Looking for Shocks ...

My mechanic tells me I need shocks. The 95 GM has 70000 on it now and I am wondering what shocks I should go with?

I read through some posts over at Lincolns OnLine about the Town Cars and it seemed the consensus was Sensa-Tracs for a closer to stock cushy ride or Edelbrock IAS for more performance without going harsh.

Does that about cover it? What else do I need to know?

I would classify myself as a spirited, but not aggressive, driver. My typical commute (about 30 miles each way) is hills and curves.

(And if there might be a GM guy lurking in here somewhere ... the same questions apply to one of our other cars -- an 89 Park Avenue. It has a non-leaking auto-leveling air suspension in the back, but the front needs some help.)

    Thanks,
    Jim

Get some KYB GR-2s from advance auto parts, for a 2002 police car.

    Or, motorcraft police shocks...

go with the kyb gr2's for a police vic.........i have installed several sets of these, everybody loves them and they are alot cheaper than sensatracks which in my opinion are junk.

the isuzu nuts worship the sensatracks, plus my great uncle used to work for monroe back in the day

course the isuzu is meant to handle differently anyway

My monroes I put on my 2.3 stang started leaking in less than a year. Even the pep boys Gabriel's I got for 25 bucks lasted longer. Even with how insanely I drove the 87, 89, and 91....

Stopped by Advance Auto today, they have tons of kinds of KYBs - what year of a cop-car ones do I want for my TC? Also found out that KYB also make air-adjustable rear shocks ('bout $40 per piece), anyone using them? Will they fit a boxie?
