what do i risk frying if i....

its been awhile since i've been under the 84's hood and today i noticed that the alt on the 84 is externally regulated and the regualtor looks identical to the one under the hood fo the 91. connector and all. partsamerica.com is showing identical part #'s for gpsorenson regulators for 84 and 91. should i try it?

I think most of those external regulators are identical. If it shows the same P/N I say go for it. Worst that would happen is maybe it blows a fuse link.

hopefully. if it still don't work then the alt is suspect and i'll save up to do the 3g conversion. that'll be in the spring. even if it gets her road-ready,i'm not subjecting the car to the winter elements. fuck that lol
