What size of tires on 17" rims?

So I upgraded from a 95 Grand Marquis to a 2003 Lincoln Town Car. What a beauty! But I need tires. Right now I have 225x60x17 on there. What other sizes can I put on 17" rims?

2003 Lincoln Town Car: "Nikkatello" - R.I.P. (Miss you the most)

I'm assuming you want to go wider?

    235/60/17
    245/55/17
    235/55/17

Those are probably your common (good selection of tire models) sizes that are a bit bigger but will still fit reasonably on stock wheels. Going too wide compromises handling and wear. Going too tall throws off the speedometer/odometer and causes rubbing while turning.

85 4 door 351 Civi Crown Victoria - Summer daily driver, sleeper in the making, and wildly inappropriate autocross machine
160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc
