            nope not soup yet,lol

tom reminded me tho of a very good point tho that i had forgotten. the 84 tranny will be considerably weaker than the 90 tranny. i had my parents swing by one of the yards today and they said the aod was a very high demand tranny. in other words they did not have one. i told muy parents make sure its an aod, out of a 5.0 or 5.8 powered ford. mustang, f-150, gm, cv, tc as long as it was 5.0 powered. but no luck. i'm going to try a couple diffewrent yards tomorrow. plus, the other day just after i got Christine jacked up, it started to pour and i've been sick for two weeks so working in the rain was out of the question, lol

i'll keep everybody posted on my progress. my plan of attack is to get another aod, throw it in, and then when i get an xj squared away ik'll drop the tranny, rebuild the thing completely, and beef it up. i'm going with a higher stall torque converter, a shift kit, and i'm going to get a deeper pan. i'm not going with a chrome pan tho. i would think the chrome would hold heat more, so its going to be an aluminum finned pan with a drain plug and i would also like it to have a spot to mount a temp sensor. i'll also be going with a massive cooler.
