How in the world do I get the lock cylinders out?

I'm taking the lighted lock cylinders off of the blue vic and putting 'em on the '91. I have the door panel off and I can't even see the damn thing or how to remove it. Am I just retarded or am I actually missing something?

they are held in by retaining clips that are pryed off from the side of the door, you cant miss em...they are jus tabs that you take a screwdriver to.

Just pull the rod out of the plastic clip on the end of the lock cyl, slide that clip out and it just about falls into your hand. Took me a bit to figure it out the first time I removed one. Its so simple its almost too easy LOL.

Cool. It's supposed to be warm tomorrow, so hopefully in the very least I'll get them removed from the donor vehicle.

Got them out. I'm not going to install them yet though. I want to replace the retaining clips, since I kind of demolished these.

I got one of them installed. P72s do have the wiring in the door for it. The question now is whether I'm missing a fuse to make them work. The one I installed does not work.

Mine worked in the Townie with either the interior lights on or the door open. Do your interior lights work? Should be on the same circuit.

The wire controlling the lights when the drivers side door is opened isn't hooked up. Even though the other doors turn the lights on, could the drivers side not being hooked up cause that problem?
