    Battery Recommendations

Ok my battery doesn't hold the charge it once did. I have no idea how old it is cause it was in there when I got the vic. It looks older but it is a different one because it is a Napa one. It is corroded and I clean it every so often but it comes back really fast. I don't know if that is a sign or anything but I thought I would mention it. Ok so the question is what would be the best battery for me. I have 2 8" subs in the truck, it still draws quite a bit. Are optimas worth there value?? I thought I would change it soon cause I don't want to be standed somewhere.
    Thanks,
    Zack

I use reconditioned Interstate batteries. It's a brand new Interstate battery without the warranty basically. Plus they're only $35.

I have a Delco but it was an emergency replacement and I had no choice. I've seen Interstate batteries sit underwater overnight with the running lights on a boat shorted on, then pulled up the next day and it had enough juice to run 3 bilge pumps for several hours. It then ran most of the rest of the summer before exploding from being shorted out. Not too shabby, especially considering it was 2 years old before it went under.

Champion SubZero here, 900CCA, 1000 regular, dated at Y2K and still fires up the car every single time, no matter how long it's been sitting or how cold it is outside.

Diehards do suck! Ive never run an optima for a daily driver but it worked great on the chevelle. Do you have a cap for your amp? I guess it doesnt really matter since youve got a newer vic with a 130a alt.

I run the optima battery, on a stock 65 amp alt and a good sized amp (no cap) and I love it...

I used to be able to get them for next to nothin when I worked at advance
