is it safe to take that shit off? cuz its bad on the linc and looks shitty...

tear it off if it's shabby looking.....it's there for sound deadening and designed to fall in over the engine in case of fire........i had a crown vic wagon come in this week that was on fire and the hood pad did not help

A new hood insulator pad, at least for my '92 TC Sig Series will run you about 80.00 from the Lincoln Dealerships. If you're interested in a new one. part number is: F3VY 16738A :cuss: Loust dealer prices!!!!!

I ripped mine off, but they can save you're paint.

I have been told this by a few people, but I custom/muscle cars w/o 'em. Might make the clear coat go sooner, because of the heat. It is insulation.
