    Dash Insert

I'm having a problem with my '91 GM dash popping up. This is the insert that the defroster blows through. When it's cold, the insert pops out at the corner. Any way to fix this? I tried to use a shi but still pops out.

    Are the clips bad?

It seems to clip in the back part but won't push far enough in under the dash pad. I've removed and repalced it many times and can only get it pushed in so far. Only pops up at one corner every now & then. If I ever get the windshield replaced, I'll push it in from the outside with the windshield out of the way.

        Dash

This is the same problem I had on my CV... I finnally put a velcro tab on each end to keep it down... hardest part was finding something to put underneath as a base to stick the bottom velcro patch on, so they would come close to each other. (There is about a 1/2 inch gap between the two pieces) I used a small block of wood epoxied to the "valley" under the trim piece, then glued the velcro piece to the top of the wood block.... Works like a dream, and stays stuck down. But you can still take it loose if you need to, then just stick it back down...

(These all do that... the heat deforms the dash to were they won't "click" in under the dash edge anymore...) Tom...

Great idea about the velcro. I'll give that a try too. Thanks...
