    Boss 429 Hoodscoop

While I was out removing the vinyl top off my LTD I sat the Boss scoop on the hood just to get an idea of what it's going to look like. This is the first car I've used one the these hoodscoops on that actually made the scoop look kind of small.

That is going to look sweet once it in in the hood.

Actually I think it looks right about the right size for the hood. Cars that are all scoop and no hood look silly, but thats just my opinion.

Im thinking of a Ford Thunderbolt scoop for mine. The bigger version will take up a good portion of the hood, just like it did on the Fairlane.

I like big hoodscoops and I believe this is the biggest scoop Ford had on any of their productions cars(except the Thunderbolt teardrop scoop ). I like the teardrop but I just think it's a little to rounded for the box. But I have seen the one blue Merc GM with one and it looks pretty good.

When I get the car out of the storage unit I'll do some measuring and get the scoop placed exactly where I want. Then I can drill the holes and mount it to the hood.

And that hood ornament has to go! It just doesn't look good with the scoop.

I put the 79 Hood ornament on a week or two ago and im still not used to it. Ive never driven with a hood ornament, just seams weird with that big deal sitting on the header panel.

If I had a 2dr I would definetly put the scoop on it. I think it would look kinda out of place on my 4dr merk.

Would that work if someone wanted to stuff a 351W in their towncar?

They cannot imagine how much I resent and disdain them, or just how great a threat they would face if I could get at them. Everything in their behavior speaks of insult and presumptuousness, and for now it is all I can do to make constructive use of my anger toward them. At this time, I just make a list of them and keep a watch on. Some day, with the help of time, space, and circumstance, I will be able to humiliate them properly - not in a manner they would enjoy, but in a style calculated to make them wish that they had never been born.

                              :nonono: No I don't think so!:nonono:

Actually I think I'm going to throw this hoodscoop on my Dually. I'm going to run a Street Scoop carb scoop on the engine and just cut a hole in the hood.
