    Tachometer and voltometer install.

After a lot of researching and with the assistance of many Panther owners, the install is coming along.

More pics will be added as progress is made.

I hope to have this completed by the meet this Saturday.

Wow nice. That looks awesome. What kind of guages are you using?

Very nice. Id love to do that to my town car but I think it would look out of place as my pillar covers have a felt type stuff on them.

I chose VDO gauges for their shine-through illumination and for the fact that they make a 6k tach. The same size Autometer tach was only available as an 8k model.

P71, could you mount the gauges somewhere else that does not have that felt covering?

Yeah, I was actually looking at a column pod. I found a digital guage to match my dash and it is a 2 1/16" that allows you to switch between volts and oil press. (the only two I need since I have a temp guage).

Embassy, that looks like an insanely clean install, as usual.

Was the pillar pod meant for a Vic, or did you have to mold it around the trim piece covering the pillar?

P71, you should mount them on the A-Pillar, and then put the same style of felt covering on, and make it look stock.

                    Thanks.

The Autometer pod is meant for the 2003-2004 Marauders. Apparently the Panthers' a-pillar was changed in 2003 so the pod was not a direct fit for my '98.

As you can tell; however, it fits pretty well with some trimming.
