I have a friend that has A set of Eibach springs front and back for an SS IMPALA.I know the front will fit there 5.5 " wide.Alittle lower than the wangon springs I got from the parts store. Will the rear springs fit??Before I tear everthing down and find out the hard way...Tanks.. LIVE LONG AND PROSSPER\\//'

The rear springs on a panther are double pig tail springs. I am not sure what the IMPSS use, but I would imagine that it may be the same. DuceAnAHalf has converted his rear springs already to racing coils. I am also about to convert my rear to coil over shock design. Front springs are readily available in many different rates from 500lbs/in to 1500lbs/in+ (Ride hight will vary) Our rear springs a little less common, but also availabel from 95lbs/in (stock vililian) to 400lbs/in (again ride height will vary). The downside is that the ride height will vary and you can not adjust it. Converting as Duce has and I will will allow at least the rear to be adjusted.

Yeah about those coil-over springs. Apparently Ford decided that the rear spring perches dont have to line up. the upp perch is a good 3 inches further forward than the lower. this puts the 2.5" spring at a bad angle. so i dont have then on yet. I had to move the tube foreard and have to have a snap ring cut into it.

Wow, maybe it would actually just be easier to do the whole coil over shock thing? Since that takes care of the springs gide/perch/travel. Just have to mount each end of the shock.
