My drivers side wiper does it also, on the third set of wipers. All three sets have done it in the exact same place.

We have found at times the glass gets a glaze of unknown substance. You may have to degrease the windshield...I know it sounds stupid but we have had cars fail state inspections for streaking wipers...replaced them and still had problem...We get this stuff in little packets...like handi wipes and do the glass and it solves the problem....Hope it helps....( we get the stuff from local glass shop)

i am having the wiper problem too, but have been really really busy lately.

on my old 86 honda integra i cleaned the windshield really good with windex and it took care of the problem.

My advise is to use the wipers ONLY during wet weather.
