    Where to find cheap springs?

I am halfway looking for some cheap coil springs for the hillbilly suv project if my home made spring boosters don't pan out.

I have seen springs run from $40 a pair to well over $200 a pair.

I just need a set of stock coil springs for a 1985 RWD caddy, or a panther limo. This will raise the suspension a couple of inches and keep the suspension travel down a bit so I won't have to be as aggresive with the fender lip rolling, and front fender trimming.

So where do you guys go for cheap springs?

Besides ebay that is, unless of course you have a nice link for me.

I have been keeping my eyes peeled for some ebay bargains, but every time I find a set cheap, the shipping is outrageous. One guy 15mi from me had a pair a while back for 25$ but wanted 35$ shipping. I asked about picking them up locally and got a semi hostile reply for my efforts. I noticed he has relisted them several times and hasn't got a buyer yet. I wonder why?

Boxman, they were 85/54 Fleetwood springs. I have priced them, but I am looking for the best deal on them.
Lincolnmania, was that 75$ each, for a pair or for all four?

84 fleetwood, don't care which engine, whichever is cheaper.

The name of the game is low budget here.

On a happy side note, I discovered that the rears in the car are new enough to be fairly clean and still bear the paper tag and shiny black paint.
The front springs on the other hand have no paint left on them whatsoever. I would say that they are the originals.

At the moment the car sits so high in the back that it looks like a rejected hot wheels concept, especially with the teeny 14" front wheels. LOL!
