rear spring replacement - '89 CV

I'd like to put new rear springs on the CV so that the rear end doesn't have that sagging look. Rear end is an inch lower than the front. Will regular sedan springs bring it up without stiffening up the rear end? Reason I ask is, when I had new rear springs (Moog Cargo Coils) put on S.U., she became incredibly hard to corner since the front springs were the originals. Once I replaced the front ones all was well and she cornered great.

I want to keep the CV a smooth riding car, even though it corners like crap. It will not be built up like S.U. So, do you think I can get buy with regular sedan springs from Moog? All info is appreciated.

If the sagging rear is from old springs and not a lot fo weight, new standard springs will bring the rear back to original level.

Thanks. It's sagging from aged springs, not extra weight.

When you get them, let me know what the free height of the stock rear springs is. Thanks.

One more quick question: To remove the rear springs, all I have to do is raise the car, support the frame, remove the lower shock mount, lower the axle, remove the tires (if needed to clear), and pop the old springs out, correct? Install is the reverse order?

I didn't need to remove the tires either time I did the springs. Might need to push down on the tire if it wont drop enough to get the spring out. Get nrw isolators too, they're only a couple bucks. Tape them on to the top of the spring before putting them in so they don't fall out.

I think they are about 16 inches. I measured the ht of the stockers installed and free height and also for the station overload variable rate and innstalled shock heights for each.

New springs are in. Had to pull the tires off. Here are the height numbers:

                      Old rears: 27"/New rears: 27 3/4"

Gained 3/4" both sides. I wanted more than that, but I can live with this. The front end sits at 28".

Factory stock coil springs, uncompressed, end to end: 17 1/2" and 17 7/8".
New coil springs, uncompressed, end to end: 17 1/4".

                      Before:

Looks good. Even if it only went up 3/4 of and inch I still can tell it is more level now. Does it ride any different?

Having a sway bar connected might make it harder to remove springs
