checked the oil again today, and the dipstick again looks like it was dipped in a vanilla milkshake. the motor runs fine, so wtf gives? is it possible when i did my pcv valve i didn't put the new grommet in properly and that condensation is getting in there? like i said for the most part(will extrapolate in a second) the motor runs beuatifully.
next my idle is very high, prob about 1100-1300rpm at idle. my iac is brand spankin new(within the past 4 months). i unplug it and the motor still runs, nothing changes. idle speed remains high. i did notice that in looking around the motor for anything unusual, those vaccum solenoids on the back of the intake-one of the lines was completely seperated. it is the one on the left hand side(passenger side) how do i replace that vacuum line? will any old vacuum line do or is there a special type to get because it does not look like i can just hook one up.and would this cause my abnormal idle speed. i've pulled the codes and the only ones i'm getting are for my o2's and another code which i had read before but it doesn't exist- so i must be reading that code wrong.
