Hey can you tell me when ford says to change the tranny fluid for a 03 Grand Marquis? I heard that fluid is good till 100k if the tranny isn't over worked.

Tranny fluid lasts a good while if nothing is getting damaged or abused. I'd recommend 50K, I think the book says 80K for an AOD. But hell with how I have been going through trannies, I haven't haad a tranny for more than 2k miles in almost a year now. That's right, I have changed trannies more in past year, than I have changed motor oil.....sad.

I got one for you. What are the stock pulgs in the 03 Marauder. Platinum? Single Electrode? Heat Range?

I put some of those 4 electrode plugs into my friends 03 PI (He was a deputy Sheriff) and it ran like CRAP!!! We went to a slightly colder plug, single electrode platinum and got a guy to optimise the fuel map. Man that thing ran like a scalded dog even with 56k miles!!!

Then he broke the upper a arms when he jumped east avenue at 115mph. Dumbass...:nonono:

Those colder plugs rock in a 4.6...

30k miles for Severe use (ie, lots of stop and go, if you're a freeway cruiser you can nearly double that). Typically first one can be stretched to 50k, but after that every 25-30k

                    Edit:

You can also Backflush the system. The filters typically do not need to be changed untill later mileage on the newer vehicles. The last filter I've seen our tranny guy change was on a 91 F150 with 300k miles on it (300 straight 6 )

All the 2000 and up stuff just gets flushed unless there's actually a tranny concern.

                      Part #AWSF-32EM for Marauder plugs.

Single Electrode with platinum on both the electrode and center piece. As far as heat range, I do not know

                          heh

3 valves suck. depending on what it's in, they're not hand breakers, but on a 3v 5.4 in a navigator it sucks donkey taint.

the hardest part is getting the rear coil plugs back on without stripping out the bolt and getting them on all the way so they dont blow out. I've done maybe 5 plug changes on a 3v, so i'm not an ubermaster, but i'm ok with them.

4 valve was easy as hell and I usd the regular platnum plugs. Only time I saw recomended cold plugs was for the DR superchips reflash for the 03-04 mm. the reflash on the 03 is the most noticed due to the trannys factory setttings sucked. was there a listing for rear end fluid seeing that was said to be "life of vehicle"
