    Race seat is in.

I finally got around to installing my Kirkey race seat. The aluminum brackets are 1/8" I cuty some speed holes in the brackts to reduce a few ounces of weight. The seat itself is 11 pounds. the bracket i made is about another 12, total weight of around 23#s stock seat is around 60#.

that looks damn good...you need another for the passenger now.

my g/f says i need 2 of those in Vickie, my white CV. when she is on her cell and i step on it she tells whoever she is talking to i just hit mach 1. she complains that i might give her whiplash and she also hates how i snap my corners.

Put her in a fast box with some non-stock suspension stuff and she'll stop complaining

Thats is what I need tired of having to hold on to something to stay in my seat. Even worse wwith the new cars leather interior.

i went for a cruise today with some mustang guys about 20-30 miles, in 90 deg heat with no A/C. was not too bad, i added 1/2" of foam to the already thick foam, even being black material and no ventilation in the seat i stayed pretty comfortable. My right calf is kinda sore, gas pedal is kinda stiff with the dual return springs.

That kinda seat probably not, but something with a side suport deffinitely yes - when you were flying up and down those ramps I had to hold for the armrest for dear life, lol

Duce, what are those dual return springs you are talking about - the one at the carb and another one added the gas pedal's arm and the firewall? Due to the cable setup my gas pedal is kinda slow on the return now, so that's the setup I'm considering, you think it's a good idea?

no there are two return springs attached to the lower arm on the carb linkage.

Looks good. I used to run 3 springs on the capri. Thinkin maybe I wouldn't push the pedal so far. I think it worked to an extent.

NHRA requires two throttle return springs. I doubt the one on the carb is acceptable. With the times im going to be runnign with my new heads, i gotta start getting legal with NHRA. I already need a helmet but the local 1/8th has nto said anything, Bradenton will though most likely.
