It looks like it is for the small LTD/marquis from the mid 80s. I had one when they were new. Isn't there a part number on the inside of the header ?

According to my book it is for a 1982+ Ford Granada. The new body style came out in 81. It Might fit the small Mercury Marquis as it was mostly the same car.
Good luck finding those cars anymore.

          Thanks

I'll be sure to let him know. May help him better describe the item and find a potential buyer.

looks like 81 cougar is really similar too:

                    Both very obscure cars.

I am having difficulty sourcing a photo that matches the header panel.

Definitely looks Versailles fitting to me based on that picture. Certainly for a four headlight car. I think that SAE 77 is usually the first year an item was used, but it is an 1980 revision of the part if that's true.

thats just based on the E04B numbering. "4" is Monarch per the master parts manual.

though apparently thats only when it doesn't mean something else

I agree on the Lincoln Versailles . Notice the flat ends at the top corners vs more pointed ones on Granada/Monarch. Also this header holds the running lights below the headlamps. Notice the holes for the two running light bulbs on each side of the header.
The third digit being a 4 was a bit confusing . Interesting that the part number is E0 instead of D7. Versailles was made from 1977-1980. I had a 1979.
