what I'm curious about with that BT mod is where they put the board. There just isn't very much room inside of the tape deck models. If the tape deck doesn't work though, my guess is that it got gutted to make space for the BT board.

I've seen BT boards the size of a quarter... so there's that.

This is really cool. Idk if anyone remembers but my friend and I were working on a homemade alarm system for my CV a bunch of years ago. It was fully operational, just never got around to installing it for some reason. (Still have it! It's in my desk)

I'm curious how do you deactivate it to get in the car though? I don't see a key fob or anything.

It appears as if you set a delay...that delay time allows you to insert key and disable system. Not your normal car key...looks like a magnetic deal of sorts. Unsure.

might squeak that in next to the tape deck. then it gets to the matter of inputs. Unless its got some sort of deal where it could pass through or interrupt signal it wouldn't tie in with the aux input type deal. There is a 5v mute signal that silences the radio and thats how the tape deck or the CD player would have functioned though. If it could switch that it wouldn't need a pass through. No signal bleed doing it that way either.
