    1966 Ford Galaxie 500 with a Twist

This one is an interesting vehicle, however something just bugs me about the door panels. Also, I really don't like the license plate mounting location; ruins the design of the trunk lid.

      This..

At first I saw the price and said "15 large for a four door?!" Then I noticed the side markers, ditch lights and what appears to be the ugly chrome Ranger wheels. The bumpers are out of place and I do not like the license plate either, or the chincy looking door panels with those ugly buttons. Choice of sidemarkers was awful too. I'm not familiar with many Ford styles but I've always dug the small round ones MoPar put on their stuff in '68. Other than that stuff, I'd drive it..

Yeah the shitty tires make you wonder what other corners were cut, or shit parts w were used. I also can't fathom why they wouldn't have converted it to an HO. Having said that, other than the door panels it doesn't look all that bad in the pictures.

The guy probably had an LTD laying around and used that. If he wanted it, he would've kept it, right?

I can see using the chassis as an upgrade to the original. Old Ford suspension sucked ass. Despite whatever shortcomings we might find with the stock 80s stuff, its quite a bit better than stock 60s stuff was. Wouldn't have swapped the interior or the stock 80s driveline though.

Agree on the door panels. It would look cool if the 66 style pattern would have been used. License plate placement could have been thought out better. Very interesting car though.

I would rather have that car stock. But if I was getting that car as is, the door panels, trunk lid, wheels, and backward hood would have to go.
Still, somebody put a lot of labor and money into that car which they will never get back!!
And why the heck did they leave the cats and air pump on there??
