    Dusting off this thread.

Found a 4 door 1983 Mark VI with digidash on FBMP.
Haven't looked at the ad closely but at first glance it seems alright for $2500.

Holy smokes that blue '83 makes me moist. Priced a little higher than I'd be comfortable paying. (Makes me think they're at $2500 intentionally to avoid the demo derby crowd. I wouldn't blame the seller at all for doing so). Especially when I consider distance from me, bone stock pre '86 non 351 equipped box, and the fact it's been sitting for some time. It presents damn well though, for having 175,000+ miles. Droopy headliner is of no concern to me. Probably just needs the fabric re-glued to the cardboard backing material. I'd have to pull the headliner (very carefully!) anyway though, because trim delete and slicktop conversion. Vinyl top is, decent considering the age but it's already starting to lose adhesion on the A pillars and around the rear glass. Surprised it's so tight around the C pillars. Guarantee there's rot along the bottom of at least one of the doors by now, especially considering it's a Signature Series car with all that stainless trim that further exacerbates the issue. Door bottom rot can be fixed, but it's expensive, specialized, detail work. Surprisingly there's no visible rust behind trunk mounted tail lights or trunk trim. No shots of rear bumper support/inner bumper or door-fender-cowl overlapping metal areas so I'm assuming those will have at least surface rust/pitting.

I'd go ~$1500 on her. I love love love the pillow top cloth seats, intact door panels, and digital dash. It's clear she was taken care of to an acceptable standard, at least for a while. Would make a great stablemate to the maroon '80 Mark VI I'm taking delivery of in late April. No way I'd be able to afford it this year though.

This Lincoln seems worthy of a refurbishment. Headliner replacement isn't a hard job, Have to scrape off all the old material and foam from the board. Then use headlining material with the foam attached. Good 3M 707 heavy spray glue. Have to lay the seats flat or remove one side to get headliner out. It is a half day job.
Price is reasonable if it runs good. considering the market. Those coach roofs need to be done by a experienced shop. $$$$. Hope someone here buys it before the derby people get it.

Based on the snow on the OBS F350 in the background, the car is being stored in the barn. The driver window is down in all the pictures, hopefully not missing. Driver rear window motor looks like it needs the typical box panther window motor rebuild. Other than not needing or wanting it, I don't see anything that would scare me away from it.

Another one in the same area for $1200. They claim the frame is dangerously roted but the body doesn't look awful. Also has digidash like the blue one.

If the frame is truly rotted, I'd lace up my tennis shoes and run as fast as possible in the opposite direction unless you are using it for a parts car!

I just realized both the blue and red one are the same seller.
I forgot the link to the red one: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...code=undefined

                He also has a tan/beige 2 door '80 for $7500 (not digidash)
SEFI (maybe HO, at least the plaque) swapped.

and I believe I spot the blue on in the barn in the background. I'm not interested in any of them but might be neat to see them if someone wanted to drag me along. Could make plans with Grand1 to meet at his place since he is much closer to these than I am. (Saline is like 1.5-2 hour driver from my place, I think.)

Looks like HO firing order....1,5 instead of the lopo 1,3 at a quick glance. Nice car! Ad stated MKVII drive train swap.

It would not surprise me if the seller bought it at a salvage auction for $500-750. Another $500-700 in parts. Let someone else put it together and let the profit come in.
One of worst projects is putting something back together that someone has taken apart.

AMEN, Brother! Have a friend with a '95 GM that the previous owner's grandson attempted to "hoochiefy" and we spent years "dehoochiefy" it and STILL not done. Every time we fix one thing, we fine more screw-ups (like massive electrical problems due to him slicing and dicing the wiring harnesses).

'85 Colony Park in Florida $1900. A little rough but looks solid from what I can see in the pics.

Good clean up project if it is mechanically sound. Need to get it for less before the derby guys .

Aero Vic for sale. Hen's teeth here in Finland.
I could imagine trading the Caprice for that, but my next car will have to be more fuel efficient... New headlights and wheels and I'd rock the all black look.
