    Header Installation

This is a general tech question, but I'm posting it here as this is the current project for my '05 MGM. When I get the exhaust manifolds off; can I use brake cleaner and a flapper wheel to clean the exhaust port flange?

I've gotten to where I used a bristle disc to clean just about every surface where a gasket once was. The white colored ones are good for everything from aluminum to cast iron. https://www.amazon.com/3M-18733-Rolo...s%2C133&sr=8-9

I would second a bristle disc. I wouldn’t want to use anything more abrasive on an aluminum head.

Question for Those with Stainless Works Exhaust System

For those with the Stainless Works exhaust system; can you send me or post a pic of your mid-pipes? I just want to see if there is a S-bend after the headers somewhere; to push the exhaust up and away from the pavement.
