Mechanical/clunking noise on hard left turn?...Sometimes.

On my 1994 MGM, I have noticed that SOMETIMES if I make a very hard left turn (close too the end of the steering wheel's range) I will hear a very harsh "CLUNK" noise. It has no happened when I turn right. I'm thinking ball joints? Anyone have similar symptoms? Is it an easy/cheap fix?

It looks like your answer might be in the following thread, which has a handy photo to boot:

It's quite common for such noises to occur if the steering stop contact points are not greased. If that doesn't work, then it's time to start worrying.
