I'm working on a 93 without ABS. The master cylinder went bad and filled the booster with brake fluid.
So, I put on a rebuilt booster and a new master cylinder (non Ford). Well, the thing makes a moaning noise
everytime, pedal going in or out. Figured it was the rod that needed adjustment, but that wasn't the problem.
Installed another new MC, same make and another Ford booster, same problem.
With the original (bad) MC in place, no grinding. (installed dry)
The bakes work great, high pedal, car stops just fine.
Anybody have any ideas? I'm starting to think it's those new non-Ford MC's. I used.
