This is on my 2003 town car signature.

after putting the EATC in self diagnostic mode, I got codes 12 and 63. anybody know what they mean?

also I got 3CE03F2001, I assume thats the software calibration on the EATC module?

yes.. it does appear to be code B1263. Now I gotta fix it, which I am certian will involve taking the dash apart.

If you actually want to take the time to come up... lol. 12 hours and whatnot in gas and food would probably pay for someone to do it there locally.

some good news about this issue.......

I finally got my fancy new scan tool and I am able to check the climate control system for codes, I got code B2267 for the passenger side blend door actuator fault.
the FSM information the guy at LoL.com sent me was for a 2007 year model and it outlined taking the entire dash apart. after doing some more digging, the 03/04 model cars you can access the blend door actuators easily. on the passenger side, you gotta remove the glove box door and one of the heater tubes, then the you have full access to the actuator. on the drivers side you have to pull the lower dash panel and remove the LCM, then you have full access to the actuator. (mitchel on demand shows labor times at .6 for DS and .5 for PS) A quick search on Ebay and I found a local company that sells new motorcraft actuators for $33 each.

maybe, just maybe, this will be something I can fix easily with out breaking more Shyte.

and btw.... local Ford dealer wanted $1100 to replace the 2 actuators.

I don't think I will be calling them any time soon.

and even with the cost of the new scantool... you've made out for less.
