    heart transplant.

I've got a chance to buy a mint 1995 t-bird with a blown motor. Can I drop the 5.0 from the deceased loveboat and the aod into the t-bird? Is it a direct replacement? I think those t-birds used a 4.6 so I don't know if it will work. I have a mark 7 computer.

It won't be a direct swap. The AOD might be a different length. You will need a donor car for all the 5.0L stuff (accessories, wiring, etc..)

Wiring swap would be a huge pain in the ass. 95 Tbird is OBD 2. Tons of wires. You'd have to gut the entire engine harness, the trans harness, and the computer and end up removing the motor and trans just to install a 5.0/AOD arrangement. Then you'd need the wiring harness for the 5.0 motor and have to swap that all in. A stock 4.6 has more power and is better on fuel than the e7 head 5.0 from your GM anyway.
