    Wow, he must not work on modular Fords very often then, because this was a pretty well-known issue when it surfaced... I'd say it was common enough that ANY half-way decent mechanic should know it immediately.

      updated replacement is reasonably priced, and will fix the problem. I'm kind of surprised he found someone that would even elect to do a used intake manifold. Most places just want to go straight to the new parts.
