    intake bolt prob

    i got the wagon in the shop and tomorrow morn im ready to pull to pull the old motor, but uppon looking at the new one i noticed a piece of bolt that broke on the left head beside the EGR port...do i half to remove it or can i jus not put the bolt back i dont have time to deal with this, im on a strict schedule since im at my works shop. i dont see that middle bolt for the intake nessasary lol help!

    if there is enough to grab a hold of, try some heat and work it back and forth.
    its gotta come out, otherwise the intake wont seal properly.

      I'd plan to eventually replace it, it can cause an intake leak.

        you'll want to remove the bolt or you might have leaks.

          If you're really in a big pinch, you'll probably get by for a while.. but what a drag to replace that bolt later down the line. You'll have to pull the lower intake with everything still in the car. If you've got the engine out already for a swap, you'll hate yourself for not replacing it now when it starts to leak down the line.

            noworries...got the sucker out! procceded to torking down intake with all 12 bolts lol
