whats good to use to clean the coolant tank overflow of old dry coolant from the sides

yank the thing out and hit it up with a pressure hose, did it to mine, even cleaned the inside.

I used some little rocks and 50/50 hot water/degreaser mix on the odd-shaped tank of my Mustang. Worked fine. You might also be able to spray the crap out of it with the water hose wide open.
