    again this was a Police Interceptor 351 it had balls when i romped the gas.


    And i think my 302 put out around 150HP have to check ALLDATA.


    I may get another 351 in the future. For now my 302 runs fine and well and healthy for 125,000 miles on it.

      Thats the motor we're talking about. Only the police cars got a 351. It made 180 horsepower and I believe 285 ft/lb of torque. The HO motor makes 225 hp ahd 300 ft/lb. The stock multiport injected 302 from 86+ made 160 hp and 280 ft/lb with dual exhaust. The 83 was something like 135 or 140 hp, and some lesser amount of torque. They're pretty weenie feeling by comparison. I've driven CFI cars, and the multiport 302 has a lot more ass to it.


      What did you do with the exhaust? The front pipes on the 302 and 351 cars are different since the 351 is wider. Did you save your old front pipes or something?

        yes i saved my original exhaust as my auto mech instructor told they would be different.
