The 84 starting two days ago has been making a sort of grinding noise coming from where the speedo line connects to the speedometer. What is it doing and is there a fix? thanks matt

1986 mercury grand marquis colony park 5.0 sefi dual exhuast thrush turbos with h pipe and turbines -
the gears might be eating themselves. You'll have to take it out to investigate. It may just need some lube on the spinning parts.
