5.0 to 5.8 swap parts interchangability.

Gathering parts for 351 or 393 stroker. Right now I have crown Vic 351w oil pan and 95 5.8 with 140k on it. It looks that I will need a crown Vic 351 oil pump.Does the power steering brackets from 5.0 bolt on to 351w.? Does both of them use the same alternator bracket? I won't use AC.

The bracketry is the same between the two engines besides the AC bracket. You'll need a crown vic oil pump and pickup.

the flexplate and balancer will be different too. Different imbalance on the 351 vs the 82+ 302. 28 oz on the 351 and early 302, 50 oz on late 302. Distributor is also different. Larger pump drive shaft on the 351. Intake different too, and you'll need to figure out something with the exhaust because its not going to fit.

BBK 351W swap headers and a lightly modified mustang h-pipe. Easiest way to go for induction will be a good carb...I'm doing a 351w swap right now with FAST EZ-Efi multipoint injection...check my thread out in the performance section, you may find some useful info.

        Good luck,
