    PCV grommet for SEFI cars - which one? why is it never simple??

    Ok, I thought this was simple and straightforward.

    But, uh, take a look at this page: PCV Grommet, 1987 Crown Vic 5.0

    So, now I know that the CRB 29127 is the wrong one, but what about the other two? The pictures look the same, naturally, but the part numbers are different - BK 6301388 vs BK 6301389. One says boxed, and the other says carded, but are they otherwise identical? The notable difference in price suggests to me that they aren't... but I wanted to check here to be sure....

    Have you checked with RockAuto to see what they have? Got mine from them (although a few years ago) for my '87 GM and there were no negative issues! Bobby

      got my last one from Oreilly Auto Parts. I know they have it... but it's a special order (from the hub typically).

        Ugh . . the dimensions are identical for both . . but $2.49 versus $5.29? Is it really double the price for different packaging?

            just go to the parts store, they are like 4 bucks ea, why waste money on shipping?..........the pcv screen they call a breather filter

            1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
            2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
            1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
            1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
            2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
            1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

              Unfortunately, it seems that neither Napa, Autozone, Advance, or Pep Boys in the area keep it in stock.

              I went with RockAuto for plugs, PCV Valve, screen, and grommet - they were cheaper enough than the local store that even with shipping, it was less than going to the local parts places (which didn't have the grommet and screen in stock anyway... sheesh!)

                  yeah... if you live in the boonies... RockAuto has you covered for sure. If you live in the big city (like I do), RockAuto still has you covered for many things... just like this.
